When we got this set, I loved it, and while it worked, it worked great. Both my son and I have horrible allergies and this kept us from suffering. HOWEVER!! About 1 year after I dished out the $175 I paid for these units, one stopped working. I called customer support, who told me a replacement would be no problem, but tech support would have to call me back. Tech Support called a few hours later and was very heavily Indian accented, I had a hard time understanding, but after doing what he suggested, the unit still wasn't working so I called the direct number he gave me. He told me I needed to buy the extended warranty (2 more years) for $30. At first I thought this was great, until he told me then it would be $30 for them to send the unit back to me, after I paid to ship the unit to them... That means I would spend $90 on one unit to get it "fixed"! It was insane to me. The other unit followed suit and died a few months later. Please save your money and don't get this unit. It won't last.

We live in an older building, which means we have mold. After the air conditioning system clogged and spilled water down the walls, we ordered this set. The package arrived withing four days of ordering. I think that is very prompt service. The Ionic Pro Air Purifiers have reduced the dust, lint (in the sewing room) and odor in the apartment. The units are easy to clean, though we will be buying spare fins before Winter. They are so quiet, and do not interfere with sleep, conversations, or listening to TV or radio. The nicest asset is the lack of the musty, mildewed "aroma" we smelled every time we came in from the outdoors. The bonus car ionizers do work, but we drive with windows down, so can't give an accurate assessment of their abilities. I would (and have) recommended this product to friends and family who have allergy-related problems. Cordially, Nehmah

Having NICE clean air in my room.. My daughter sleeps better, and WOW!!! I can't remember the last time I have slept so good in my room. Im Impressed!!! However.. DO NOT LET THE "free car ionizers" sell you on this. They DO NOT WORK at ALL!!!!! Ohh sure its a very pretty blue light in your vehicle, but there is NOTHING that comes out of the car version is worth it... I've yet to smell ANY difference at ALL in either of my vehicles.. NOT WORTH IT!!

One of the air purifiers did not work. I had to send them back. Do NOT buy this product. Buy the Sharper Image brand. Now, that's quality!

I originally purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my home and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of continuous use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some customer reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the product I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to return the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 days later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She informed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new unit. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the product and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Buyer beware!

I bought this product as part of a 3 pack that included the large, compact, and auto purifier. The larger unit died about 6 months after I bought it and now the compact size will not run. I cleaned both of them and that's when the problems started. After cleaning the compact unit it will not turn on without quickly turning on the clean lite and shutting down. The larger unit had a similar reaction to being cleaned. I replaced the larger one with a Rabbit Air HEPA filter and it is much better to maintain and I think it actually does something in the room. All the Ionic pro did was waste my money! Find something else!

First of all, this is a nice product, but mine stopped working about 6 months of owning one, very disapointed I like the fact that there is no filter to replace, all you need to do is clean the blades everytime it gets dirty, but I am still not 100% sure if it is really filtering or just collect some of the dust that blows through and get stuck onto the blades, also I do not like the fact that it releases ozone.. O3, instead of O2 which is oxygen. It shouldn't be harmful but its a bit unsettling to know. I give this thing 2 stars because it failed on me after 6 months, i took care of it and cleaned it often, maybe I got a lemon because it seems like no one else had that problem. I recommend the 3M products instead. Ionic pro is nice and slick, but its so nice that its too good to be true, the 3M air purifier is just straight forward and you know its doing a better job filtering than the Ionic pro. It would be nice if all the air purifiers had did not have filters to replace so we could all save a lot of money in the long run, but the fact is, you pay for the replacement filters so that you get what you pay for, it will do the job of truly purifiying the air instead of the fancy smancy gimmicky blades that you clean from the ionic pro. To me the ionic pro is a trying to be wanabe imitation alien technology that doesnt really work all the way 100%. The 3M products definitely work 100% all the way and I would definitely spend more money on real performance. If a product does not perform to the best of its capacity, to me it is just a waste of money. Also it is your health, there is no price for your health, being healthy is worth spending the extra bucks, buy the 3M products instead! Ionic pro is cool, and it does work, but not as well as the 3M air purifiers. Maybe in 50 years in the future there will have technology good enough to truly make an air purifier that does not need a filter replacement, until then, you have the ionic pro which is a wanabe imitation "alien technology" that does not truly work to its full potential. Also in the future, the hopefully can make the ionic pro not release ozone (O3), and release oxygen (O2) which is what we humans would rather breathe.

I read a bunch of reviews and finally decided on this model. I have never used an ionizer before and I love it!! I love the way the room smells when it is on- it's like fresh mountain air! I also like how I can see all of the dust collected on the blades. It really shows me that it is doing the job it is supposed to- taking dust out of the air. I highly recommend this product regularly to my friends.

The Ozone this thing puts out is Harmful for children and states this in the instructions. it doesn't clean the air I returned this item the day i got it and had problems shipping back the other one. If i could give it no stars I would.

just found out that similar products like this can cause permanent lung damage (i.e.asthma) if the ozone levels are high. yes these machines work but at what risk?

I can not speak for the item itself since I have not opened it yet. My husband and I decided we wanted another ionizer and I have been trying to return this one. The seller does not respond to e-mails even though I contacted them in the required time frame for returns. After doing a search for them online I saw many complaints about this seller. I would caution anyone to use them after reading the other information online.

Have not received item ordered over a month and a half ago. Unable to track. No contact from seller.

I have owned this filter for a few years now. We moved into a new place a few months ago, and our Ionic Pro sat in the garage for a while. I noticed my son started to cough in bed a lot before finally falling asleep, then cough again when he woke up. So I finally set the filter up in his room, let it run about half an hour, then put him to bed. He hasn't coughed once since, and now the filter lives in his room. The ONLY problem I have with it is how incredibly bright the blue light is. I had to cover it up so it would not completely illuminate his room. But I love this (totally silent) purifier and am going to buy one for each room of the house when they go on sale.

The Ionic Pro CA200B works but if you are suffering from airborne allergens, like dust, pet dander, pollen, etc., and you are living in a place that hasn't had its heating/cooling system cleaned in a number of years, you will want to have the cleaning done as part of your arsenal against allergies, as well as consulting the family doctor. I suffer from chronic rhinitis and once all of the above were done, with the Ionic Pro installed in the space for which it was designed, I now have a couple of rooms in the house I consider to be save havens: we still have pets (cats & birds) and live out in the country and I believe the Ionic Pro helps to reduce the sneezing, runny nose, and helps to get a good night's sleep.

The Compact Purifier does a great job in a bedroom. Like the system and would buy this product again.
