These filters were the exact same I usually get at WalMart, and they had free shipping. Can't go wrong.

Normally I can find the same quality items at cheaper prices on Amazon. Not the case with this product. It was what I needed for my air filter, but I can get a 2 pack at Target for $39.99. I thought I was getting a good deal and ended up not to be the case after shipping.

The Holmes HAPF600 HEPA filter 2 pack can be found here on Amazon for $30-$40. Why spend $80 for 2 when you can spend $40, which is still not cheap for a consumer, but certainly more reasonable.

I had ordered this set of 2 filters earlier from a different company and they sent me just one filter and never acknowledged my phone calls about it. I finally did get a promise that they would send the missing filter after several e-mails, and then I got an e-mail stating that they could not send me the other filter and refunded my money. Target sent very promptly and the correct package of 2 filters. Buyer beware where you order from!!! TARGET was really great.

Just don't forget to buy some charcoal pads along with these filters. You can wash the old pads with dish soap but hardly worth the trouble and they shrink some. They probably loose some functionality in the wash also.

Great price, good product. I took a chance and purchased these for my Bionaire BAP-1412, and they are exactly the same filter... for less than half of what Bionaire charges for replacements.

This is a 2 pack of Holmes filters. They work well but do not last as long as they should. I have to change my filters every 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. If I would have known this information, I would have purchased a different air cleaner. The transaction with Amazon itself was smooth, quick and I received my item quickly.

I use these filters regularly, and found these at a great price. I will buy from this seller again.

I needed replacements for my air cleaner. No big deal, right? Well it shouldn't have been, but wait till you check the prices for your Holmes air filter replacements. The operating expense of this unit for a year almost equals the initial amount paid for the whole unit. This complaint aside the two pack I got from Amazon is the best pricing I could find. My three star rating is more directed at the idea that Holmes has you over a barrel than the service I received from Amazon which I would have given a five star to.

Works as advertised, and as your original filter did on the Holmes. It's the same filter. Much better deal here than in the store, if you can even find it in a store.

I've had many air filters and cleaners over the years, living in Los Angeles requires that. I miss the days of citrus-scented filters. Oh well. This filter unit, the Holmes HAP242 has been the best ever, and these filters are great.

This is the right replacement for your Bionaire BAP242 Air Purifier, even for the UK model. $25 for two plus free shipping means it's cheaper here than in the UK.

I got these filters for a Bionaire air purifier. Perhaps I should be reviewing the purifier and not the filters, but without them it doesn't work (and viceversa)... so I guess this is a co-review. I noticed a big difference in my son allergies after just 2 days of use. He is just 2 years old and has been sneezing since the day he was born: he gets a stuffy nose, sleeps with his mouth open which dries his throat and makes him cough. I had tried everything else to try to help him. I received the air purifier through a recycling group and decided to try it. I absolutely love it, so much that I'm getting another one. This 2 pack is the most convenient way to get them even if you just need one, because you will have the spare one in case you don't remember to order it on time to replace it. And the price is great: it saves around $7 from buying a single pack and buying it in Amazon.com, you get free shipping.

Glad to find a needed item online that is not always available retail when you need it. Worked out great!

I have a bionaire air purifier which requires replacement filters about once every 4-6 months or so, so I try to look for package deals that contain many of these replacement filters for a less expensive price, and I was glad to have found them! There are 2 replacement filters in one box that's especially made for the filters, which would be very appropriate if you are giving them as a gift. Along with each replacement filter, there is a little bar clip-on thingies included (if you own one of these purifiers, you'll know what I am talking about), which tend to easily be lost if you are changing filters and not paying attention. But since they come with the replacement filters in the box, you have extra ones in case you ever accidentally throw them away! In all, it was a great deal and i bought 2 boxes! I am happy with my purchase, and the delivery was super fast!

Ok... ok... ok... I know there are lots of you (like me) that are skeptical about a ~$300 product that claims to make the air in your environment smell and feel cleaner but is it actually effective? I purchased the Rabbit Air 421A in Silver back in November 2009 direct from the manufacturer. The purchase was made solely off of the Amazon reviews I read and other external websites that seemed to have nothing but glowing impressions of this fancy little box. I have spent the last several years fighting off a continued sinus infection that had gotten so bad that when I would wake up in the morning I would find myself coughing up LITERALLY coughing up mucus and phlegm. When I came home from work in the dusk I could see millions of little particles floating around in the beams of light coming in from the windows. I knew it was time to find a solution. Introducing - the Rabbit Air BioGS 421A - God's gift to the dirty air world. I felt like a kid at Christmas I was so giddy when the box arrived. Did I mention this box was giant? I really underestimated the size of this thing, but it's okay because the bigger the unit the more air it is able to clean. So I unpackaged the big boy and within 5 minutes I had the thing running. Installation was literally removing all of the bags from everything and then plugging in the charcoal filter, HEPA filter, and pre-filter, then replacing the plastic front cover and plugging it in. The unit is big but light enough to carry with one hand. Night 1 - I swore it was the best sleep I had ever gotten and I woke up feeling clear and able to breathe, although my significant other swears that it's all subliminal. By the end of the first week I was no longer hacking up pieces of my own lung. The automatic sensor(s) are so smart that I can throw a chicken on the stovetop in the kitchen and ~60 seconds later the unit kicks into high gear. Sometimes when the cat walks by the Rabbit Air whirs into full speed and scares the heck out of him (not necessarily a pro for some people but for me it is!). I catch myself doing certain things in the apartment and then mindlessly staring at the front indicator lights on my Rabbit Air to see how it feels about my actions. I was hesitant to post a positive review until I really knew if the unit worked. After 3 months of non-stop use (daytime - auto mode, nighttime - fan speed 3 mode) the unit finally beeped at me this morning to "clean filters." So I popped the front of the unit off (no screws, it just pops off!) and I didn't know whether or not to be excited or disgusted. The pre-filter was COVERED in dust, hair, big particles - it took me a solid 2 minutes to pull off of the dust off with the vacuum. Behind the pre-filter the HEPA filter also needed a quick pass and the charcoal filter was fine as is. After looking at all of the dust and dirt and pet hair (think if you opened your lint trap on your dryer) I knew the purchase was more than worth it to keep all that crap out of my air. My only complaint? That I didn't buy two to keep myself from lugging it around the apartment from room-to-room.

This thing is pricey, but it really works. I keep it in my cat's litter box room and I can't smell a thing. I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but even if it is difficult it'll be worth it because it works so well.

Do not buy this product. My husband and I bought this going off what others reviews read. We dont feel that the odor sensor worked at all, nor did it clean the air. We kept it for two weeks thinking that it just needed more time to clean the air. Didnt work. The odor still stayed in the house, and it did no more than suck air in and blow the same air back out through the top. Very expensive to purchase, very expensive to return. Very dissappointed. Returned to company, and then purchased an Oreck. Couldn't be happier with our Oreck purchase.

Given the reviews below, I purchased the Rabbit Air with great optimism but have been completely disappointed. The unit has delivered no change in air quality, and in fact often fails to notice a scent as strong as a match being light and extinguished directly in front of the sensor. With regard to observations by other users - I did not find the noise disturbing, and in fact it offered a good "white noise" background for sleeping. The display, however, is exceedingly bright and cannot be adjusted; I ended up taping a post card over it so as not to illuminate the room. Obviously I wasn't looking for a $330 noise maker and nightlight, so I will be returning the item. What's particularly disappointing (and not disclosed elsewhere, as far as I can tell) is that Rabbit Air is charging me $35 for return shipping on this worthless device. I would give 0 stars if Amazon offered that option; I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Aside from some cosmetic issues -- the badge on the front face of the unit is a sticker that was loose (and somewhat folded and therefore will remain loose) -- this unit has been everything I expected. It is extremely quiet and sensitive -- When I walk past it after coming out of the bathroom in the morning, it senses my cologne and immediately kicks in. The true test will be when my asthmatic girlfriend returns and can judge the air quality in our smallish apartment.

Vacuuming the old ones out a few times with the hose attachment before you replace them. You can use a vacuum "crevice tool" to clean the cracks in the hepa filter, but you really need to replace those periodically, and they are more expensive. Also suction the body of the device.

There was no number written on this order and I got the wrong one. They were too small for the filter that I have and I did not have enough.

I have 2 of these units and they seem to work well but I've had quite a few problems. I've already had 4 of them break down on me and Rabbit Air did replace them under warranty but they are very difficult to work with and I've spent about $100.00 on shipping to return their defective units. I guess my last straw with Rabbit Air was when the last time I sent defective units back they failed to mention that they were moving and told me to ship the units to their old address so Fedex Ground ended up charging extra to reroute the units. To sum it up, they work well when they work but if you have trouble good luck! I see in some of these reviews that they paid return shipping. I asked them several times to pay for return shipping and they refused.

I have tried several air cleaners throughout the years, Sharp, Oreck, Hunter, Honeywell, Delonghi and have never been too impressed. All that changed with my Rabbit Air. I love this machine. When I bought this unit I was serious about getting a good air cleaner. I compared this and several others and came down to choosing between this and a blueAIR unit. After looking at filter costs for the blueAIR I decided to take a gamble on the slightly less widely known Rabbit Air. I have not been disappointed. It is quiet and after a month or two of use, dust and odors have greatly improved. The design is smart, with minimal electrical use, and a clever pre-filter arrangement that extends the life and freshness of the main filters resulting in low filter costs. As others have mentioned, the dust/odor sensors are questionable. Sometimes it seems to react to dust or odor, but other times it seems to be reacting to ghosts! I am actually up to three of these units now, but need another for another area. My only complaint is that these units are pricey, but like they say, you get what you pay for. When you add up the filter costs for other models this one comes out ahead within two years even against the cheap units you can find on the shelves at Wal-Mart.

I have two bluair cleaners and though they are good and top rated, they are huge and not attractive so remain in basement, out of the way, locations. These Rabbit Air cleaners not only do an excellent job of keeping the air fresh, they increase the cleaning process when they detect allergens or contaminants in the air. This allows one to know what is coming in that needs to be cleaned so one can sometimes track down a source and eliminate or reduce that source. It is very easy to clean with the washable filters and one can see if one is getting a considerable amount of dust or certain other elements that might be in the air. Cleaning the sensor with vacuum is also easy. I do not know how long the sensor lasts, at some point this might need to be replaced and I have not found any indicator that lets one know how long that might be. However as an air cleaner it is quiet even in the highest setting, not silent but definitely not too noisy. In normal mode it is silent and it does have a night time mode, special mode in allergy seasons to specifically detect allergens, and a clean mountain air mode. If this is in a kitchen or area one knows has high debris or bad air to clean, set it to super mode and it works full force until the air is clean, then turns itself down to normal mode which is silent but still working. I have used the Sharper Image Ionizer and others but this is far superior though must admit bigger so not invisible in place. Still it is superior. In winter I use this in combination with Venta air washers to humidify the air and have two air cleaners working. this and the Venta. In summer Venta puts too much humidity in the air for my region so only the Rabbit Air and the BioGS does seem to reduce the germs in the air. Often when I have guests with flu I tend to get it as well but with this, I do not get it. Additionally, during flu season when I come in having slight symptoms of flu and remain in the room with the BioGS, my symptoms are gone by morning so they do not just keep circulating in the air for me to continue to contaminate myself with the germs. Best of breed for certain.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DOES NOT WORK AS DESCRIBED! I bought this air purifier about 6 months ago because my son has asthma. Read many reviews all raving about the product. All the reviews made great claims- a lot of money but worth it because it improved air quality so much. Some reviewers said they had asthma and since getting this purifier their symptoms have greatly improved. Other people mentioned how many pets they had and how the air purifier was able to keep up with the hair, dust and odor. So I decided to spend the extra money and get what I thought was going to be an exceptional air purifier and I COULD NOT BE MORE DISAPPOINTED. I only have one dog and it can't keep up with that. WE HAVE HARDLY SEEN ANY IMPROVEMENT IN AIR QUALITY, DUST ETC. We probably could have bought an air purifier for less than half the price and gotten the same results. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Rabbit Air BioGS (model 582A - covers 780 sq. ft.) Ultra-Quiet Air Purifier w/ Germicidal Sterilization - Low Maintenance - Washable Filters!, Chrome Silver

i've had many air purifiers before and I'm most satisfied with this one. I've heard about Rabbit Air many times before I knew I was going to get a good product. I got the 780 sq feet one and it does the job of 2 rooms really well. We have smokers in the house in a designated area and it does a fabulous job taking out the odor through the whole apartment. I take comfort in knowing that it will eliminate odor as well as allergens and bacteria in the air as we have an older cat so it's good for pets too. The only peeve I have is that it's pretty much on the big size, but due to its sleek design it's not too big a deal. It is not super thin as I expected but still, sexy and nice looking.

Average Rating:

The RabbitAir Bio Fresh Air Purifier uses a 3-stage filtration process to ELIMINATE, REMOVE and DESTROY many allergens, odors and germs. The 1st stage is the pre-filter (sink washable/dishwasher safe, no replacement) which captures large size particles, dust, pet hair, germs, fungus and mold...

I have owned this Unit for years. As an air cleaner it will pick up larger particles, for small particles it's not very good, plus it is not sealed well and there is air leakage around the filter itself. Basically I have used this unit as a kind of white noise machine to drown out outside noises, I use a real air purifier to clean the air. I recently just purchased an EMF Meter because I have been concerned about radiation and electric current hot spots which can negatively affect health. Well, this little Unit sent the Meter off the charts! It registered higher than my refrigerator and microwave oven. You need to place this thing 4-6 feet away from you, especially your head, in order to be safe. If you have it on your nightstand, please move it. In addition, cheap cleaners like this one give off ozone from the ionizer so only use the ionizer feature when you're not in the room. It can damage your lungs. This is not a good air cleaner, if you really want to clean the air you need a serious product.

I purchased this item based on the positive reviews. Its a lovely fan, and the noise is tolerable even on the highest level. However, as an air purifier, this unit is worthless. I ran it for one month continuously, in a dusty apartment with a cat and a dog. At the end of the month, there wasn't a speck of dust in the filter. It was pristine! The inside of the unit has this little filter indicator that confirms that a bright white filter is "brand new" as opposed to one that's "in use." So, if you want a nice fan, this is the unit for you.

I live in a small studio apartment (400 square feet) with two little kittens, and with no windows and sealed concrete floors, so needless to say the air quality can be quite awful. The combination of cooking smell, litter box, and cat hair made me crazy enough to splash down cash for this unit. Un-boxing is very straight forward with really everything assembled straight from the factory. It comes with a charcoal-foam filter and a hepa filter (don't forget to take off the cover and remove the plastic wrap!) The unit sucks from the back (flat area) and exhausts the clean air via the front (round side). Simplistically, there are only two knobs that independently control the ionizer and fan speed. The speed settings are all quiet except for the fastest which sounds about as loud as a microwave. I recommend using the middle speed for everyday use. Within the first hour, I noticed a much improved overall air quality, especially around my litterbox area. Now my apartment is much fresher and pleasant to live in. Its crazy to think that such a small investment makes such a huge impact on your daily health. As far as the filters go, its about $15 for a replacement charcoal filter, and $20-25 for the hepa filter that you might replace every 3-4 months. For roughly $100 a year, its not too bad of an upkeep. I guarantee you'll love yours, I know I want to buy one for every room I stay in now.

This is the first air filter I've ever bought. After using it for 6 months, I can now testify on behalf of this product. I've been using it in my bedroom (dimensions 16x12 ft) continuously on the middle setting. The noise level is minimal on the 2nd setting (sort of like a low hum... I don't even notice it anymore) and even quieter on the lowest setting. I have pretty severe dust allergies and even the first day, I noticed a difference. No more sneezing, stuffy nose, itchy throat, etc. The recommendation that came with the manual said to change the HEPA-type filter every 3-4 months. After about 4 months, I opened up the unit to check on the filters. There's a washable carbon pre-filter and a replaceable HEPA-type filter. I cleaned the pre-filter. The HEPA-type filter looked pretty much like new, so I didn't buy a new filter. (there are pictures of how dirty the filter looks at various stages inside the panel after you open it up). Last weekend, I had to go out of town to take an exam. I arranged to stay with a friend. He warned me that he had recently gotten some cats. I'm also highly allergic to cats. I loaded up on allergy medicines the weeks prior to the trip (nasal corticosteroid sprays, antihistamines) and thought that would keep me from reacting to the cats. As a last minute idea, I brought this little air filter with me as backup. And boy was I glad I did. After an hour at his apt, I started sneezing non-stop and feeling altogether miserable. I whipped out the air filter, and set it up in the bedroom. After retreating to the filtered room, my symptoms subsided and I woke up allergy-free. I see some other reviewer complaining that there is a layer of black dust/sooty material that accumulates around the filter if you have the ionizer on. The accumulation is supposedly heavier if you smoke in the house. I'm not a smoker but I still notice a thin layer of black dust around the filter. It doesn't bother me at all. You can just wipe it away with a damp paper towel (if you are on hardwood) or vacuum it up (if you're on carpet). I'd much rather have the black dust particles on the floor rather than floating around in the air where I am breathing it in. Of course, if it bothers you, you can always turn off the ionizer function and just use it as a filter. Lastly, I see some people complaining about the cost of the replacement filters. It comes out to be about $18 each if you buy from Amazon. That's not so bad ... I looked at some other brands and they're still in the teens or $20's. Some other reviewer suggested vacuuming the replacement filter so it lasts longer. This is what you would do with a permanent HEPA filter anyway, so it didn't sound like a bad idea. Today, I opened up the filter again and saw that the HEPA-type filter was covered with cat hair. :-( That was just with 2 days of continuous use at my friend's apt. So perhaps the filter would get dirty much quicker in a household with pets that shed a lot. I went ahead and vacuumed the HEPA-type filter on this unit... it cleared the filter without sending much if any dust in the air. I figure I'll change the filter once a year at this rate. I'm completely allergy free in my bedroom. However, I still sneeze in the dining room area. I'm now saving up to get an air filter for the dining room / living room area. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on bigger air filters. In summary: This little unit is affordable, portable, and effective. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a good starter air filter for his/her bedroom and doesn't want to spend over $100 for something bigger/fancier just yet.

I've had this excellent purifier for a bit more than a year, and it has been mostly on for all that time in a non-smoking environment. It is being used in our 3 year old's medium sized bedroom to minimize room dust and other airborne allergens, and usually kept in the low or medium setting. It works very well, with the air in her bedroom NOT showing dust (when the sun is shining through the windows you can see airborne dust in the light beam), while in our other bedrooms with no purifier, dust is visible. We usually get 4 to 5 months out of a HEPA filter, but you CAN 're-use' the HEPA filters by doing the following: gently vacuum the filter on both sides, until the gray or dark dust covering the filter is gone. You have just succeeded in removing most of the particles captured by the filter, and saved yourself some money. The filter can now be re-used for a few more weeks, at least! You may want to perform the vaccuming function in an outside area or garage, with a surgical mask on, so that you don't inhale any of the captured particles on the filter. The whole process usually takes me only 5 minutes, including washing the pre-filter. This model also has an 'ionizer' switch, but my advise is not to use it for more than a few minutes at most. I have read conflicting claims about the safety of using ionizers long-term. The unit works very well with the ionization option in the off position. Buy with confidence.

I bought 2 of these a year ago. At first they were fine. Then they started squeaking and clucking and convulsing like an epileptic mouse being eaten by a drunk chicken. Then a couple months later they were as dead as the mouse. They stopped making noise at least. Strangely, the motors stilled turned slowly, but not enough to move any air.Probably a cheap electronic component failure. And that is why I rated this product a 1.

I purchased this Bionairre tower fan because it had a remote for operation. I used it for four and a half years, and it began to vibrate, gradually sounding louder and louder. I decided to buy another fan of the same type again from Amazon. Upon buying the fan I noted it had a five year warranty. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a new fan with no questions asked. Now I have the one I bought and the one that the manufacturer sent me. I've got two good fans that I really like and one that gave me good service for over four years. I'm satisfied, and have recommended this fan to others too.

I am about 10 feet from the fan, it is not powerful. after 2 years of using it, it makes a HORRIBLE noise. not due to dirt or dust. just makes noise. not good for long term. not very powerful.

I've had this fan for about a year now... couldn't bring myself to throw it away before I even moved out of my apartment. It worked fairly well for a while, except for the breeze function it has (winds the speed up and down to simulate a breeze). After a couple of months, I would be woken in the middle of the night by a very loud shrieking/whistling/whining noise. Trying to describe this noise is nearly impossible, but take my word: it is DEFINITELY not something you want to hear in your waking moments. If you get lucky, messing with the fan a bit makes the noise go away... but whether its gone for days or weeks, it always comes back. Do NOT buy this one, keep looking...

A shortcoming with the Bionaire Tower Fan is that it is fairly noisy in operation, which may be fine in some situations, but is not so good in a quiet office environment, which is where I had intended to use it. Because of that, I bought a different fan for the office and have moved the Bionaire elsewhere, where it gets occasional use and where the noise is less bothersome. In its new role, it is adequate for the occasional use it gets, and the timer is useful. Overall, the fan has been reasonable, but if I were buying again I would choose a different design.

This air cleaner/tower fan is great for a few reasons. First of all, the price is the lowest you will find anywhere. Second, it features a permanent HEPA filter so that the need for replacement filters is non-existent. Finally, it features a built in ionizer to clean the best possible cleaning out of this machine. The only complaint that I have is it's use for a cooling fan. The air speed and volume exiting this fan is not that wonderful, but it is enough to get the job done. Overall I think that this is definitely the best value you can find in an air cleaner at this time, especially when using Amazon.com

My wife and I are very pleased with the Bionare. It replaces a much older air cleaner for which I can no longer get replacement filters. I bought this air cleaner because the filter can be cleaned and does not have to be replaced as often.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! i've had many air purifiers before and I'm most satisfied with this one.
