I am very pleased with my Rabbit. I had severe coughing episodes before I decided to give it a try. It has helped me with that problem, and I have recommended it to a friend.

Have used a rabbit air for several years and it keeps dust, dander, and allergens out of the air. Works great for those of you non-smokers who are living with someone who does smoke, or if you smoke and want to clean the air in your space.

I've had other types of air cleaners - Ionic Breeze, etc. - but Rabbitair is the best. It tells you how clean your air is and is quiet and relatively maintenance free (just vacuum the hepa filter and rinse the charcoal one every couple of months or so & replace about every 18 months). The filters are a bit expensive, but they only need to be replaced about every 18 months. Best of all, the Rabbitair gets the air in my apartment noticably cleaner faster than any of the other units I've tried.

This item was a direct OEM replacement to the filter that came with my unit. There was NO discrepancies between this one and the original. Aside from the obvious shipping materials (which were ample): The packaging for this product is minimal: only a purple bag around it. No pointless extra box or other materials you just end up throwing away. The purple bag is "PE rated for recycling. My last filter lasted 3 years, which is 18 months longer than suggested. How I knew it was time to change out the filter was that the unit began to suck air around the filter instead of through it. I would recommend NOT going quite this long, maybe 24 months. I did, however, vacuum the filter every month or so with a good HEPA rated vacuum. This will prolong the life of your filter to 24 months, depending on your environment.

Ordered extras with an SPA-582A, glad that they come sealed in plastic. Wish Amazon offered bundles of HEPA + carbon for these as is done for the SPA-700A & SPA-780A..

Ok... ok... ok... I know there are lots of you (like me) that are skeptical about a ~$300 product that claims to make the air in your environment smell and feel cleaner but is it actually effective? I purchased the Rabbit Air 421A in Silver back in November 2009 direct from the manufacturer. The purchase was made solely off of the Amazon reviews I read and other external websites that seemed to have nothing but glowing impressions of this fancy little box. I have spent the last several years fighting off a continued sinus infection that had gotten so bad that when I would wake up in the morning I would find myself coughing up LITERALLY coughing up mucus and phlegm. When I came home from work in the dusk I could see millions of little particles floating around in the beams of light coming in from the windows. I knew it was time to find a solution. Introducing - the Rabbit Air BioGS 421A - God's gift to the dirty air world. I felt like a kid at Christmas I was so giddy when the box arrived. Did I mention this box was giant? I really underestimated the size of this thing, but it's okay because the bigger the unit the more air it is able to clean. So I unpackaged the big boy and within 5 minutes I had the thing running. Installation was literally removing all of the bags from everything and then plugging in the charcoal filter, HEPA filter, and pre-filter, then replacing the plastic front cover and plugging it in. The unit is big but light enough to carry with one hand. Night 1 - I swore it was the best sleep I had ever gotten and I woke up feeling clear and able to breathe, although my significant other swears that it's all subliminal. By the end of the first week I was no longer hacking up pieces of my own lung. The automatic sensor(s) are so smart that I can throw a chicken on the stovetop in the kitchen and ~60 seconds later the unit kicks into high gear. Sometimes when the cat walks by the Rabbit Air whirs into full speed and scares the heck out of him (not necessarily a pro for some people but for me it is!). I catch myself doing certain things in the apartment and then mindlessly staring at the front indicator lights on my Rabbit Air to see how it feels about my actions. I was hesitant to post a positive review until I really knew if the unit worked. After 3 months of non-stop use (daytime - auto mode, nighttime - fan speed 3 mode) the unit finally beeped at me this morning to "clean filters." So I popped the front of the unit off (no screws, it just pops off!) and I didn't know whether or not to be excited or disgusted. The pre-filter was COVERED in dust, hair, big particles - it took me a solid 2 minutes to pull off of the dust off with the vacuum. Behind the pre-filter the HEPA filter also needed a quick pass and the charcoal filter was fine as is. After looking at all of the dust and dirt and pet hair (think if you opened your lint trap on your dryer) I knew the purchase was more than worth it to keep all that crap out of my air. My only complaint? That I didn't buy two to keep myself from lugging it around the apartment from room-to-room.

This thing is pricey, but it really works. I keep it in my cat's litter box room and I can't smell a thing. I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but even if it is difficult it'll be worth it because it works so well.

Do not buy this product. My husband and I bought this going off what others reviews read. We dont feel that the odor sensor worked at all, nor did it clean the air. We kept it for two weeks thinking that it just needed more time to clean the air. Didnt work. The odor still stayed in the house, and it did no more than suck air in and blow the same air back out through the top. Very expensive to purchase, very expensive to return. Very dissappointed. Returned to company, and then purchased an Oreck. Couldn't be happier with our Oreck purchase.

The unit has delivered no change in air quality, and in fact often fails to notice a scent as strong as a match being light and extinguished directly in front of the sensor. With regard to observations by other users - I did not find the noise disturbing, and in fact it offered a good "white noise" background for sleeping. The display, however, is exceedingly bright and cannot be adjusted; I ended up taping a post card over it so as not to illuminate the room. Obviously I wasn't looking for a $330 noise maker and nightlight, so I will be returning the item. What's particularly disappointing (and not disclosed elsewhere, as far as I can tell) is that Rabbit Air is charging me $35 for return shipping on this worthless device. I would give 0 stars if Amazon offered that option; I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Aside from some cosmetic issues -- the badge on the front face of the unit is a sticker that was loose (and somewhat folded and therefore will remain loose) -- this unit has been everything I expected. It is extremely quiet and sensitive -- When I walk past it after coming out of the bathroom in the morning, it senses my cologne and immediately kicks in. The true test will be when my asthmatic girlfriend returns and can judge the air quality in our smallish apartment.

One of the air purifiers did not work. I had to send them back. Do NOT buy this product. Buy the Sharper Image brand. Now, that's quality!

I originally purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my home and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of continuous use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some customer reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the product I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to return the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 days later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She informed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new unit. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the product and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Buyer beware!

Ok, These Ionic purifiers do work; however, mine stopped working after a year and here's what the Tech Support representative told me over the phone: Rep: "Sir, how long have you owned the twin purifiers?" Me: "about a year and a few months now." Rep: "What is the problem?" Me: "A RED light comes on right after I turn them on but the metal filters are clean!" Note: red light means filters must be cleaned. Rep: "Ok, sir. What you need to do is send them both in and we'll replace them" Me: "How much will this cost me?" Rep: "$50 for you to send them and another $30-$50 for us to send them back" Me: "What is the reason why they BOTH stopped working?" Rep: "Well, after 1 year, use or no use, the wires inside the purifiers die and need replacing" Me: "So, every year or so I must spend another $100 to get these working again?!!!" Rep: "Yes, Sir. That's correct." Me: "Ok. Well forget it. I will go on and give my review on these items right now." As these Ionic purifiers seem to do a good job cleaning the air "without the consumer having to keep buying filters", the truth is that you must continue buying them every year for $100. According to the rep they give you news ones; they do not fix them or replace the dead wires. I, for one, will not purchase this brand again. I do not hold a grudge against the people who sold them to me or the makers, but you as a consumer who wants things to last and work properly, beware of this twitch/deffect/malfunction or whatever you may want to label it. Do your research for a real good filter. I am off to that search right now.

I bought this twin pack Ironic Pro CA200T Compact Ironic Air Purifier at Amazon.com in May 2009. Four months later (September 2009), one of the unit died. The light kept blinking althought I thoroughly deep cleaned from inside out using the blower, including cleaning the 3 steel particle collection blades. I called Iron Pro customer service and followed their instruction to deep clean again. The unit still did not function. Their customer service rep told me I had to pay $19.99 for them to ship the new unit to me, and I had to ship the defective unit back to them at my own S&H expense. I did not want to go thru all the hassles. I finally had the trash hauler haul it away. The Car Ionizers were also useless. I kept them in my vehicles for awhile and finally threw them in the trash bin also. I do NOT recommend this to anyone. Amazon should not sell this product to its customers due poor quality of the twin pack.

I am having the same experience as many of those who have had their unit fail. The clean light will stay on rendering the unit useless. This is after 5 months of use. I should have done a little more research before ordering this paper weight. Now that the unit has failed, I am reading that I am one of countless people who are having the same problem. The warranty process is the worse I have ever seen. I was forced to call 4 times, the first two times they told me to call back the following day because their system was down. The 3rd time I was told someone would call me back because customer service was busy?!?! The final call I was told to fax my receipt to them then call them back within 48 hours to get a return address to ship the unit back to. I would then be charged $30 for them to ship the unit back to me. If anyone is even remotely of ordering this product, DON'T! It is not worth the time and aggravation.

I have had this device for about 7 months now, and I have nothing but praise for it! The filter vacuums easily and cleanly, the odor eliminating is superb, and the air in my house is always clean and fresh. I have also noticed a significant drop in my allergy symptoms since purchasing this device. On the lowest setting, it runs completely silently, you will forget you have it on. And no filters to buy ever is always a plus, it makes it worth the price.
