One of the air purifiers did not work. I had to send them back. Do NOT buy this product. Buy the Sharper Image brand. Now, that's quality!

I originally purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my home and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of continuous use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some customer reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the product I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to return the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 days later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She informed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new unit. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the product and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Buyer beware!

Ok, These Ionic purifiers do work; however, mine stopped working after a year and here's what the Tech Support representative told me over the phone: Rep: "Sir, how long have you owned the twin purifiers?" Me: "about a year and a few months now." Rep: "What is the problem?" Me: "A RED light comes on right after I turn them on but the metal filters are clean!" Note: red light means filters must be cleaned. Rep: "Ok, sir. What you need to do is send them both in and we'll replace them" Me: "How much will this cost me?" Rep: "$50 for you to send them and another $30-$50 for us to send them back" Me: "What is the reason why they BOTH stopped working?" Rep: "Well, after 1 year, use or no use, the wires inside the purifiers die and need replacing" Me: "So, every year or so I must spend another $100 to get these working again?!!!" Rep: "Yes, Sir. That's correct." Me: "Ok. Well forget it. I will go on and give my review on these items right now." As these Ionic purifiers seem to do a good job cleaning the air "without the consumer having to keep buying filters", the truth is that you must continue buying them every year for $100. According to the rep they give you news ones; they do not fix them or replace the dead wires. I, for one, will not purchase this brand again. I do not hold a grudge against the people who sold them to me or the makers, but you as a consumer who wants things to last and work properly, beware of this twitch/deffect/malfunction or whatever you may want to label it. Do your research for a real good filter. I am off to that search right now.

I bought this twin pack Ironic Pro CA200T Compact Ironic Air Purifier at Amazon.com in May 2009. Four months later (September 2009), one of the unit died. The light kept blinking althought I thoroughly deep cleaned from inside out using the blower, including cleaning the 3 steel particle collection blades. I called Iron Pro customer service and followed their instruction to deep clean again. The unit still did not function. Their customer service rep told me I had to pay $19.99 for them to ship the new unit to me, and I had to ship the defective unit back to them at my own S&H expense. I did not want to go thru all the hassles. I finally had the trash hauler haul it away. The Car Ionizers were also useless. I kept them in my vehicles for awhile and finally threw them in the trash bin also. I do NOT recommend this to anyone. Amazon should not sell this product to its customers due poor quality of the twin pack.

I am having the same experience as many of those who have had their unit fail. The clean light will stay on rendering the unit useless. This is after 5 months of use. I should have done a little more research before ordering this paper weight. Now that the unit has failed, I am reading that I am one of countless people who are having the same problem. The warranty process is the worse I have ever seen. I was forced to call 4 times, the first two times they told me to call back the following day because their system was down. The 3rd time I was told someone would call me back because customer service was busy?!?! The final call I was told to fax my receipt to them then call them back within 48 hours to get a return address to ship the unit back to. I would then be charged $30 for them to ship the unit back to me. If anyone is even remotely of ordering this product, DON'T! It is not worth the time and aggravation.

I have owned this filter for a few years now. We moved into a new place a few months ago, and our Ionic Pro sat in the garage for a while. I noticed my son started to cough in bed a lot before finally falling asleep, then cough again when he woke up. So I finally set the filter up in his room, let it run about half an hour, then put him to bed. He hasn't coughed once since, and now the filter lives in his room. The ONLY problem I have with it is how incredibly bright the blue light is. I had to cover it up so it would not completely illuminate his room. But I love this (totally silent) purifier and am going to buy one for each room of the house when they go on sale.

The Ionic Pro CA200B works but if you are suffering from airborne allergens, like dust, pet dander, pollen, etc., and you are living in a place that hasn't had its heating/cooling system cleaned in a number of years, you will want to have the cleaning done as part of your arsenal against allergies, as well as consulting the family doctor. I suffer from chronic rhinitis and once all of the above were done, with the Ionic Pro installed in the space for which it was designed, I now have a couple of rooms in the house I consider to be save havens: we still have pets (cats & birds) and live out in the country and I believe the Ionic Pro helps to reduce the sneezing, runny nose, and helps to get a good night's sleep.

The Compact Purifier does a great job in a bedroom. Like the system and would buy this product again.

I have only had the Ionic Pro Compact for a few days and it is really living up to what I have heard and read about it. From the moment I turned it on, I had a sense that it was doing wonderful things. But I couldn't really tell. So I had to put it to a test. I cooked up a big batch of sausage and peppers, New York Italiano style, and really stunk up my apartment.(I have a three bedroom 1,050 sq. ft. place.) I left to go to a hockey game which took about 2 and 1/2 hours.(We lost. Damn.) By the time I got back you couldn't tell if anyone had cooked Macaroni and Cheese. Amazing!! Not a single whiff of anything. Dusting is a big problem for me. I fri***n hate it. Now I don't see that I am going to have to dust very often at all. The particles are right there for me to see on the grids. Wonderful product. I am recommending it to all my friends. And I am going to get a second for my bedroom. One compact isn't enough for this much space. And I don't know if a tower one will be good to just be in one room.

I purchased this product last month and it sure lived up to its hype. I use to see alot of dust flying around in my house. I'm glad to say now its disappeared. My house is more fresher and more alive now more than ever Thanks to the Ionic Pro Therapure 100 now i just keep it near my computer.

First and foremost, don't be deceived! The simple fact that this was listed in the ionizers category is just plain WRONG! Look carefully and the only place you'll notice the word "ION" is in the company name. What a scam! Long story short: For ten bucks less, grab this even-smaller unit (about 1/3rd the size of this unit) which does the same UV-only purification: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G2BESO?tag=a52-20&ie=UTF8 With that in mind, does this unit work? Yes and no. We use it in the cat-duty room... you know, the room where cats do their duty! The room is very dusty and its smell tends to permeate into the surrounding rooms, one of which is the home office. Not good! So we got this unit and set it up. It did indeed clear up the odor, for the most part, within 24 hours. Odors still lingered in the small room itself, but they no longer traveled into the other rooms nearby. However, 3 days later, I started hearing a strange noise coming from the room where the purifier was installed. (I was on the other side of the house when I heard it, and the TV was on.) Upon investigating, I discovered that it was the purifier! The fan/motor (on the low speed, mind you) was vibrating so wildly you would have mistaken it for a Deisel Semi-Truck engine!!! Figuring it just needed to be cleaned, I researched on how to do so. That's when I discovered that the thing wasn't even a real air purifier, moreso jist a glorified disinfectant! What an outrage!! We decided to keep the unit anyway, since it does work, and have now had it a couple months. I constantly have to clean the fan with canned air, which re-disburses the dust all over the place. How annoying (and I'm a germaphobe...can't standing breathing when I do this, nor in the surrounding rooms afterwards, until the dust settles). Despite constantly cleaning this thing, it still raves like a mad lunatic even right after being "cleaned". My wife even made a diaper for it: a home-made filter that she wrapped around the intake vents. We also put a custom-cut circular carbon+hepa filter on the inside to catch any more dust that might have escaped the "diaper" filter. Even so, it still gets dust in the fans and still sounds like a Mac Truck or like a noisy weedwacker on good days, and it goes in and out of its quiet mode. So it's noisy for a good 25-50% of the day, at least. Lately we've been smacking the unit which seems to be a temporary fix, but the unit really does seem to be just junk. Hope you find one that works better!

The product is too small to purify air for a small size room. So we had to buy a HEPA air purifier.

This is a great air purifier! The uvc light bulb is huge compared to the one in the Germ Guardian GG1000 I have in my bedroom. Both work well. I got the ionic pro because I wanted an air purifier for the dining room and had no wall space for another GG1000. This is a student house and we have our windows closed and sealed for the winter meaning cooking and other smells linger and the air tends to get fusty. Not anymore! I have the fan set on medium with the unit on 24/7 and that is enough to keep the air clean and fresh. Another plus is that the light bulb is replaceable.

I ordered this on the basis of these other reviews thinking this would work for my allergies but after it came I realized that this is just a sanitizer utilizing a UV light. I should have read the product description more closely. To help with allergies, one needs a dust and pollen attractor. This little thing seems to run well otherwise, I suppose, although I have only the manufacturer's claims and no way of knowing if it is killing any germs! It's only about 14 in. high so is very nicely styled and compact.
