When we got this set, I loved it, and while it worked, it worked great. Both my son and I have horrible allergies and this kept us from suffering. HOWEVER!! About 1 year after I dished out the $175 I paid for these units, one stopped working. I called customer support, who told me a replacement would be no problem, but tech support would have to call me back. Tech Support called a few hours later and was very heavily Indian accented, I had a hard time understanding, but after doing what he suggested, the unit still wasn't working so I called the direct number he gave me. He told me I needed to buy the extended warranty (2 more years) for $30. At first I thought this was great, until he told me then it would be $30 for them to send the unit back to me, after I paid to ship the unit to them... That means I would spend $90 on one unit to get it "fixed"! It was insane to me. The other unit followed suit and died a few months later. Please save your money and don't get this unit. It won't last.

We live in an older building, which means we have mold. After the air conditioning system clogged and spilled water down the walls, we ordered this set. The package arrived withing four days of ordering. I think that is very prompt service. The Ionic Pro Air Purifiers have reduced the dust, lint (in the sewing room) and odor in the apartment. The units are easy to clean, though we will be buying spare fins before Winter. They are so quiet, and do not interfere with sleep, conversations, or listening to TV or radio. The nicest asset is the lack of the musty, mildewed "aroma" we smelled every time we came in from the outdoors. The bonus car ionizers do work, but we drive with windows down, so can't give an accurate assessment of their abilities. I would (and have) recommended this product to friends and family who have allergy-related problems. Cordially, Nehmah

Having NICE clean air in my room.. My daughter sleeps better, and WOW!!! I can't remember the last time I have slept so good in my room. Im Impressed!!! However.. DO NOT LET THE "free car ionizers" sell you on this. They DO NOT WORK at ALL!!!!! Ohh sure its a very pretty blue light in your vehicle, but there is NOTHING that comes out of the car version is worth it... I've yet to smell ANY difference at ALL in either of my vehicles.. NOT WORTH IT!!

One of the air purifiers did not work. I had to send them back. Do NOT buy this product. Buy the Sharper Image brand. Now, that's quality!

I originally purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my home and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of continuous use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some customer reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the product I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to return the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 days later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She informed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new unit. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the product and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Buyer beware!

The Ionic Pro Turbo worked great for about a week. I don't have pets or an excessively dusty house. I followed the directions to the letter, but it continued to make the buzzing sound even after being cleaned. Now it won't work at all. I've had it about 2 months. I've cleaned it several times (not that there is anything to clean) and now as soon as I turn it on it immediately tells me to clean it. It's not in a large room either. I am extremely disappointed in this item and would not recommend to anyone. I read in one review that they had luck with top loading purifiers, but I won't buy from this maker again.

Hi I rarely write reviews, I just want to spare everyone the misery of having to deal with this. I have allergies, I was recommended by someone to buy purifier. Worked beautifully for 3 days, then the Clean light kept coming on! every time I clean it as per the instruction, it would work again but shortly after turn off indicating that I need to clean the unit again! I called customer service, we went through a couple of things. It didn't work. I went back to the store adn I got it exchanged, thinking this unit is not good. 4 days after exchange, Same problem! this unit keep buzzing, and makes these sounds that are similar to the bug zapper, at night i saw the lights from the zapping between the plates! mmmm wouldn't this be a fire hazard in a bedroom! It cleans the air well, but for few days only! I am tired of cleaning the plates every few hours to make it work again and this is when it's less than a week old. I can imagine how long it will be on after a month! don't waste your money. I can't recommend other stuff here, but you may want to look into a different technologies called photocatalysis they are expensive, but they work!

The Ionic Pro Turbo requires very specific cleaning instructions that are a pain. Nonetheless, I followed the instructions to a T. The unit buzzes loudly if it is not cleaned. In my case, no matter how much I cleaned it the unit began to buzz nonstop after 6 months. The manufacturer told me tough luck. They would replace it for $60 and I had to pay shipping to send the old unit back and get the new one. So the total cost was going to be $80. I decided to pass and look for a higher quality better unit. Stay away from products from this company. They are unreliable.

I had an Ionic Breeze for years and it worked fantastic. I also had an Oreck air purifier which also worked great but was expensive so I thought I would save money buying the Ionic Pro. Bad choice. Within 2 weeks it started making noise so I got out the cleaning instructions - did all the numerous things they require you to do (ugh) and cleaned with a damp cloth and set it out overnight before returning to the unit. For one, the blades collected almost nothing. Although my house is very clean I would have expected more. I use it for my allergies. I followed the directions to the tee but the darn thing started making that annoying noise almost immediately. Went through the steps again and again then the noise went away but now the unit turns off after a few hours. I have to set a calendar reminder to pump the unit once every 2 weeks which is so ridiculous. The product description and advertising is misleading and a joke. You just don't wipe with a damp cloth and off you go - sorry not true. This product is a rip-off. I guess if you have nothing better to do but maintain this unit then it's for you. Oh, by the way, calling customer service? Right, they think of many ways not to make good on the warranty. What a surprise.

I got this when I lived next door to a smoker. It did help clean the air but not immediately as the neighbor was smoking but it cleared the air much faster than it would have if I wasn't usint the unit. It was quiet and it had no filters I had to replace but if I left it on long enough this God awful metallic smell would come from it and it made the air feel heavy to me. Even after I'd shut it off, it still had an odor to it. I would not recommend this unit. For me, it seemed bad for my health, just by the way it made me feel after it had been on for awhile.

I was skeptical at first but I needed something to help remove pills from a few shirts and bed sheets. This product wasn't too expensive so I figured I couldn't lose much. Well getting it and tyring it was a suprise it actually works. Not like night and day in one pass but with a few passes it really picked up most if not all of the pills. I'd say its a pretty good deal.

I have owned many clothes shavers and this one far surpasses any I have had before. I accidentally washes a brand new sweater in with something I should not have. I thought it was ruined but this great little shaver made it look new again in just a couple of minutes. if you own sweaters, you need this :)

This little wonder is great. In seconds it had my pants looking like new. They always seem to pill around the knees and this fabric shaver made short order of them. In a few minutes I also had a sweater looking new. By using the adapter, rather then batteries, it is very light weight and the cord is quite long so I didn't need an extention. I would highly recommend this item.

The Oreck Restaurateur sweeper is almost perfect. It works great and I have had it for a little longer then 1 year, I think. It uses rubber rollers, instead of roller brushes, which picks up dirt much better, and unlike other sweepers who's pole sometimes falls apart on you because they rely on pressure to hold the different parts of the rod together ,instead of screwing them together, like the Oreck does. My only beef is, the pole is beginning to bend a little bit, I do push down hard on it to pick up cat hair, etc. It says its under warranty for 10 years, but I'll never find my receipt, I call Oreck and find out what happens and let you know.

I bought this for my wife for her birthday. Stop laughing, she asked for one of these things. I looked at Bissell, Fuller Brush, Oreck/Hoky, Ewbank and some of the battery powered units. My wife specifically did not want to deal with remembering to charge and battery life issues. I found that everything I looked at was using older NiCad technology rather than Li Ion or Polymer Li Ion meaning they would all suffer from memory effect and degraded performance. Scratch those. So, it came down to the 125 year old technology invented by Mr. Bissell circa 1875. Bissell and Fuller have stuck with the tried and true roller with bristles like a hair brush. Hoky, now owned by Oreck has innovated with a roller that uses a series of plastic blades to replace the bristles. It's supposed to allow the unit to deal with wet stuff as well as dry stuff. Also, the rubber squeegee blades allow for easier removal of hair and other long fibers that can get embedded in bristles. Does it work? Yeah, amazingly well. But let me be perfectly clear. This thing produces zero suction. It is not a vacuum cleaner. It works purely by mechanical action provided by.....you. Some reviews of the Bissell unit appeared to reflect the buyers belief that somehow this sort of device will replace a vacuum with suction and a powered beater bar. It won't! But for a quick cleanup of surface litter after mealtime prep and eating with 2 - 3 kids at the table, it's fantastic. And once again, it's powered by you and it relies on mechanical action. You need to give it a brisk push. More brisk = more results. You can't just slowly move it over the offending material and expect good things to happen. Grab that sucker and get aggressive with those crumbs. So far, we've used it on hardwood floors and an persian wool carpet in the kitchen. It does well on both. I'm surprised that another reviewer found that it didn't pick up hair. I sprinkled a bunch of Cheerios on the persian rug to test it and ended up with carpet fibers, hair, and a bunch of other stuff I hadn't even seen on the carpet. So why only four stars? The price. I think [...]is a little steep considering the basic technology is more than 100 years old and the materials are basically plastic and a little steel. The Bissell can be bought for less than a third of this price. But, for the extra money you get an easy to clean roller that also deals with wet sloppy stuff. Highly recommended.

I had seen the 12.5" Oreck Restaurateur described as picking up, among other things, HAIR. I purchased this carpet sweeper for the express purpose of picking up pet hair (1 dog and 2 cats) between vacuumings. But it does NOT pick up pet hairs from carpet. It sort of pushes the hair around on the carpet but never picks it up- no matter how many times you push it back and forth.

I had an air purifier by a company called EnviroResearch several years ago that was almost identical to this model and with the same specs (sans the remote), and it was also electrostatic with permanent, washable filter. It worked amazingly! Within 15 minutes closed in a room with it I could feel my allergy symptoms alleviate. That model cost under $80. How does Oreck justify what THEY'RE charging for the same machine? Don't be sucked in by the money-grubbers.

This is the best air purifier I've ever owned. Mr Oreck is a genius. Easy to clean and so on. Buy it and enjoy it.

I recently purchased one of these for our house. Our family suffers from allergies which result many times in sinus infections, as well as colds. I was tired of our two young kids constantly being medicated for their runny noses and I thought this would help. My wife was a bit skeptical, but within the first 2 days of installing this air purifier in the family room the stuffy noses went away and we have not had a sinus infection (or really even a runny nose) since. I have purchased 3 more - one for each bedroom - and am very pleased with the performance. The unit is barely noticeable on the "silent" mode (I have to put my hand over it to know it is on). The kids like the "medium" setting for bedtime because it provides some "white" noise. I typically leave them on medium when we are not home. I have cleaned all of the units and it was very easy. All you do is use the brush attachment on the vacuum and clean up the front, top and inside of it. I did use the Assail a Cell cleaner on the Truman Cell - simply spray it on, wash it off and let it dry overnight. Some people have complained of the snapping or popping noise that the Oreck's occasionally make but I have only heard it a couple times and it let me know it is doing it's job. I have had overall excellent results with this air purifier and highly recommend it. The remote control is very handy. The air in our home feels and smells clean and fresh.
