I checked Reviews Before purchase,I purchased Two. Disappointed with noisy performance. If you are a lite sleeper this is not for the bedroom. Other locations would be fine.

I wasn't sure about a heat mist humidifier. I have a cool mist and the maintenance is minimal. The Vicks humidifier does a great job in increasing the humidity, much better than the cool mist. It takes a little more maintenance however it is worth the effort.

I purchased two of these humidfiers with the aim that they would be quieter than normal. When you first turn them on they are quiet until it begins to heat the water. Sounds like a boiling pot of water on the stove. I wouldn't suggest putting this in a bedroom if constant noises bother you at night. The germ free feature is outstanding and both units have been working non-stop for several months, requiring refilling everyday. Refill containers are light and easy to carry. The only drawback is that they drip if you overfill the container from a groove at the top of the container that catches a bit of the overflow. When you turn the container upright, it pours out in a stream until the groove is empty. Best to turn upside down and wipe before carrying over wood floors.

This is a great humidifier. Warm, puts out a lot of humidity, easy to clean. Despite the recomendations, I only clean ours once a week and so far have not experienced any problems. I clean it with vinegar and a plastic scrubby pad b/c we have high TDS water. Works great. We use this humidifier every night for about 12 hours a night (my daughter is a great sleeper) and have owned it for about three months. Worth the money!

Thank you, Amazon, for providing a forum for consumer reviews. Thanks to the wealth of reviews of various humidifiers, I was armed with information about what to expect or what is desirable. I had no idea my sinus problems, even after surgery, were so exacerbated by dry air. I chose the Vicks UV 99.999% Germ Free Humidifier as a middle ground product and could not be more pleased. Since my sinus problem is so bad, I run it all the time so the dual water containers means the refilling task consumes less time. Yes, the light is bright. Yes, it's a bit noisy. Yes, it hard to clean. But it does the job so well, those are minor inconveniences.

I bought this to use with the Duck Humidifier and it worked perfectly. However I got the Penguin a week later and I think the spring release (to trickle more water) does not work with the Penguin... I think it's not screwing on properly (in spite of trying a thousand times to do so). So if you got the penguin like a lot of folks, be aware this might be a waste of money. Update: I contacted Crane and the service rep said this was probably a defect with the Penguin Humidifier, and to fill out the warranty card and send the severed power cord (gruesome!) to them and they will mail a replacement.

I bought my first one at Amazon but comparison shopped for the next. I'm so glad I checked elsewhere--found them for half the price. I'm a loyal Amazon customer and hate it when they're not even in the ballpark. Oh, well.

I bought this product after going through all the reviews. The product does what it says...I have seen considerable reduction in the white dust accumulation in the room and well as mineral deposits on the operating surface of the humidifier. I have used it only for 1 month now...and the filter is still working... Cons:- Only problem i found was that the filter doesnt fit the humidifier perfectly. [To the first time users - this filter replaces the existing cap of the humidifier tank]. I own the Crane Penguin humidifier and the tank sits on the base perfectly with the original cap. But with the filter (even after securing it tightly to the tank) the tank doesn't sit perfectly on to its base...it remains a bit raised (due to the imperfection of the filter) and causes the water vapors to leak thru the sides...not a big deal though. And I am not sure whether it's a problem with the particular piece i bought.

I live in the desert and bought the filter to help with the hard water. However, when I use the filter and put the water tank on the base, it no longer sits flush. It comes up just a little bit, so steam comes out the back, and it's sort of close to the on/off switch. It didn't seem like a good idea to allow that to continue, so I will be returning the filter for a refund.

We have hard water in our house, so I thought this filter would help, but, in fact, it made things worse... every time we added water to the humidifier, we noticed that the plastic was orange and slimy. Now that we've removed the filter, we don't have this problem. Maybe it works better with soft water.

I had considered one of these rock lamps for a long time, but the SHIPPING cost for such a heavy item made it too costly. BUT when it came down in price WITH AMAZON FREE SUPER SAVER SHIPPING I bought one. I don't know about any effects (ions or ethereal mumbo-jumbo) but it looks 'cool' and make a nice orange light. NOTE: It is a natural rock and it is random exactly what shape yours will be. I like mine, but kind of don't like one very flat side which has a thin spot and make a whitish dot on the golden surface. I had to adjust it just so .... It was an awkward shape ... To get the best look for the lamp. Otherwise, yeah ... it's a dirty, gritty, salty rock with packaging that shows sings of a lot wear .... due to the heavy weight. If you want a clean pristine light - don't buy this one. This is a natural rock with all the natural flaws that were created when it formed millions/billions of years ago. I like it and was not put off by the nearly torn up box and the dust surrounding the lamp when I opened it OVER THE TRASH CAN! ... It will have a lot loose grit that will come off.

perfect gift. Creates romantic atmosphere, healthy, pretty. i bought it as a gift for my husb. He wanted it for so long,now he got it and he is happy. The quality is good. I mean - what would you expect from a piece of natural salt? It's a little bit chalky on the surface, but as soon as the outer layer comes to its shape and small crumbs are removed, it does not crumble. the wooden coaster is fair. You hardly can spot it - perfect fit to the shape of the salt block. The product is pretty much as described. the only thing is that the bulb is so tiny little... it does not create any significant light, but gives nice and soft radiance. We leave it on all night and it does not disturb our sleep. The color of the lamp is exactly as shown on the picture - bright orange to terracotta.

I just received my salt lamp and i am generally pleased. The bulb works but does not fit securely in the the lamp. Judging from the damage to the package I would say this was dropped upside down at some point and there were shards of salt loose in the bag as well as clinging to the base. I also did not receive the size that I ordered and paid for. I ordered a 14-17 pound lamp and received a 7 pound lamp. I have sent an email to the seller and await a response and refund of the difference. Time will tell.

I gotta hand it to the Black Tai Salt Company. At first my shipment seemed to be taking forever. When I contacted BTSC to find out what was going on, they promptly responded, found out that Fed Ex had lost my shipment and had a new salt lamp at my door in two days. It was even more beautiful and of higher quality than I had expected and the customer service was friendly, fast and effective.

What a great mood setter, love em, Bought for Christmas presents but decided to keep two for myself.....

This was said to be made in the USA, but I did not see mention of were it was assembled. It is well built and looks good also. One can feel the the soft water once the chlorine is removed. The water seems fresh and due to lack of chlorine the water leaves less of hard water stain on the tiles. The shower head has several setting and I use them all from time to time.

Terrible product, not only did I lose water pressure, it kept falling off its rest when you turn on the shower - every time. Can hit you in the head if you accidentally nudge it - not fun and major design flaw. Also looks much cheaper in real life.

I loved it at first but its so heavy after owning it 6 months? it wont stand up on the wall fixture and every time I turn it own now it has fallen so when you turn it on it sprays your face and floor. It also drips for hours.

I bought this so I could use organic bath products with our hard well water. I can now use organics without that sticky residue left on my skin. Super easy to install. Love the three levels of spray - each one very different. We don't have enough water pressure for a vigorous massage on that spray setting, but it is nice and relaxing. Middle setting is great for rinsing out hair. The height and direction (pivot) options are great for getting out of the spray while soaping or shaving. Hose is long enough to reach across entire bathtub. Cartridges are easy to replace. I did read that it was fragile, so I have been careful with it. I have dropped it a few times with no breakage or leakage. I cannot imagine how I lived without it!

I have had this shower filter for two years and now it is destined for a landfill. It looks as thought it is chrome but the connector piece is plastic and so is the body that houses the filter. This shower head is very fragile and broke twice on me. Once while adjusting the angle of the shower head the connector piece snapped in two and the second when attempting to change the filter the body of the shower head cracked. It is a shame that the durability of the product is so poor because it is an effective filter.

I have no idea what this thing is supposed to do what a regular fan can't. I read before that this not an AC but I expected some plus over a regular fan. Don't buy it!

Just an expensive fan after the water cooling part of it broke. It only lasted about a month before breaking. Didn't cool even our very small room when it did work. If you stood right in front of the air flow, it felt cooler. When it was over 100 degrees, that was somewhat helpful in keeping our baby a little more comfortable in her nursery, so I was sad when it stopped working. I'll update if customer service ever gets back to me (I had to leave a message) and if they can get it fixed. Update: they called back that very day and paid to have it shipped back to them to fix (I had to pay to have it boxed b/c I didn't keep the box).

I bought this a few weeks ago and put it in my car because i have a lot of problems with moisture. It has not sucked up any water at all. The beads wont change color signifing that its working.

Excellent choice for confined areas to be kept dry. Simply keep an eye on it and "recharge" when necessary!

I purchased 2 of these to put in a large safe. They need to be recharged more frequently than I would like for being in a climate controlled safe. They are heavy and will not hang from the wall outlet to recharge, so I have to use an extension and lay them on their side to "Recharge" them. Some of the crystals that can be seen through the window appear to be burnt, and so it is difficult to tell if it is working as advertised. I prefer "Damp-Rid" for dehumidifying because you can actually see when it needs to be replaced, as well as gauge how much humidity is in the area. Otherwise it is a great idea, but would have liked better execution.

I bought this for my Keezer because excessive moisture was causing mold. This thing works amazingly good at dehumidifying a 7.0 cu foot SEALED container. No longer are the walls of the freezer 'weeping', they are bone dry to the touch. Since this is a PASSIVE dehumidifier I do not recommend it for anything but small and relatively sealed areas like a closet of fabric chest. If you want to dehumidify a small room or large closet look at getting a active model.

This thing is huge. I suppose there are dimensions of it somewhere on Amazon's page, but I was surprised when I received it how large it is. Decided not to hang it. I can't really tell how well it works. I bought it because my studio apartment stays rather humid, but it's too small to warrant purchasing a larger, more expensive dehumidifier. I have owned it for about a month, and it has not yet turned to pink crystals (ready to be recharged). It is placed by my heating unit, which appears to be the source of the problem, and I have seen less condensation (and resulting mold...eww), however, I also stopped using the heater so much... Combined effect, perhaps? Moral of the story-- it's probably suited better to a smaller space, like a closet.

After reading some of the reviews I was concerned that I might not get enough steam from the unit. I bought it and I am glad that I did. It works well and produces an adequate amount of steam. It is also constructed well. I would buy it again.

Great little steam inhaler. Seems to make a cold go away faster & good for my sinus problems.

This is a great little steamer. I am recovering from pneumonia due to inactivity following leg surgery. In two days of use (3x daily for about 5 minutes) I feel MUCH better. It produces just the right amount of steam. The reservoir which I thought was too small will produce 15-20 minutes worth of steam with just a couple of ounces of tap water. Cleaning takes seconds, just let it cool and wipe it out with a clean towel. Those who complain about it spilling water should have tried reading the instructions which clearly state that it must be placed on a solid surface and that water spillage IS likely if you don't. I have mine on a mobile computer cart next to my bed and lean over the unit with no problem at all. Medicated pads are a cute idea but it is pure steam that has the greatest benefit to respiration. $30 on this was worth more than the $50 I've had to spend on antibiotics and Mucinex so far.

Even on the lowest setting the steam is so hot that it feels like it's burning my face.

This device is simple easy to use and maintain and it actually works. I have medium to severe to sinusitis and it gives me great relief. If you got sinuses this will relieve your misery. Take it from one sufferer to another this product works (have had it a year now BTW...). Recommended.

The thing I like about this filter is the oscillating feature although mine has decided not to oscillate after just over a year. The prefilter makes this a better filter than most of its type. The prefilter catches large particles while finer dust is processed in the metal washable filter. There is only one problem with this arrangement however, unless those particles are coated with super glue, they tend to blow right out the front side as evidenced by all the dust on the front of the unit. The problem is that the finer the particle the more dangerous it is for your health, the deeper it can be inhaled. For those mold spores that it DOES catch, it is death through the dehydrating process as air constantly moves over them, that is if they don't break away and fly out of the front over time due to the current. Cleaning is relatively easy, unless you happen to smoke. in that cause, the little 5 mins soak in warm dishwater just wont cut it. On the bright side, since cigarette smoke it so sticky, maybe it will encourage those pesky dut molecules to stay on the grill they are deposited on. Still searching for a better filter. I will tell you about the plasama cluster in about 6 mos.
