I purchased this because my home contained visable mold and who knows what's hidden behind the drywall. In addition, the lower level of the home often had a funny smell (not really moldy, just funny, kind of earthy), and since I moved, the dog and cat are really itchy. I read one of the reviews for this product on another site where someone had a mold remediator come in 4 times and it didn't work, so I decided to try this first, since it's cheaper, and it is supposed to remove more than just mold. I plugged this in in the family room on the lower level. It originally gives off a mild burning smell that subsides after a few days. Soon, the lower level of my home had no more funny smells and both the cat and dog prefer to sleep in that room as opposed to all other rooms. I just ordered a second one for the mid level of my home and plan to get a smaller one for the bedroom. I'm very pleased with it. Don't know that it got rid of the mold, but it did get rid of the smell and both the dog and cat think it's doing a good thing, since they had no interest in that room prior to the Airfree. To me, that says a lot. Ok, had to edit this because I got the second airfree for the living room level and that's been running about 2 weeks now. They say it takes a month to work, but my itchy dog, who had rubbed all the hair off her eye and had large scabs on her rear by her tail (the vet was the one who originally put the air purifier idea in my head) has stopped rubbing her face, her eye's no longer red and it appears that the hair's even making an effort to regrow and all the scabs on her rear are gone! She's not on any meds for this either so that's not the cause of her improvement. This is more than I could have hoped for. She's much more comfortable and will now hang with us in the livingroom. I just ordered a small one for my bedroom. Now we'll see how it does on my morningtime stuffy nose :-) Ps. still no funny smells on the lower level!

I purchased this item October 24th. I had pneumonia and was concerned about air quality. I cannot tell if it is working, but I have left it plugged in because I have faith that it is probably working. I think I will have to do a test with a strawberry to see if it molds quickly, or have an indoor air quality person do a test, which will cost $400. It is hard to tell if it works. It is true that it is silent and doesn't make the room any hotter or colder. It would be nice if there was something they could build into this product to measure air samples or something to show you it is working.

Overall very satisfied with the product. The wife's asthma attacks are much improved and my eyes aren't swollen shut in the morning anymore from allergies/dust mites/mold or whatever the heck it was that was bothering me (I am highly allergic). I was able to tell with my eyes within the first couple days, though per the literature it can take a couple weeks to get the entire room well sterilized. In response to the poster above, you can dim the blue light with a dimmer switch button on the underside if the light the airfree gives off bothers you.

I bought this unit for my bedroom. I wanted something quiet, rather than the air cleaner I currently have and I need something going all the time due to allergies. You cannot turn off the blue light. It is very bright. I moved the unit to a spare bedroom where I sometimes store dusty items from the attic and it works fine there where I do not mind the light.

I put one of these in my bedroom. Before installing it, I tossed and turned a lot at night and rarely dreamed. Now I sleep deeper and dream more often. I suspect my allergies were interfering with my sleep before. (I am primarily allergic to cats and dust mites, but also have a mild mold allergy.) The blue light on top does not interfere with my sleep, but sometimes I turn it off anyway. There is a small blue LED on the side that does not turn off, which I found annoying until I rotated the unit so that the LED does not shine in my eyes when I'm trying to sleep. The unit does not make any noise (the air is moved by heating, not by a fan). Before buying this, I needed 7-8 hours of sleep per night to function well during the day. Now I feel the same on only 6-7 hours of sleep. The product literature claims this can help remove odors from the air. It may reduce the pungency of odors, but it does not remove them completely in my experience.

This is my very first review ever on anything, but the product warranted my input. Asthetically, it is not much to look at. However, it does what it says it does. I live in a row Townhouse condo complex and live next door to smokers. Unfortunately, they smoke in the basement, and the smell travels through the spaces left open by the common pipes that run through each unit, making my laundry room and rec room literally stink as if there were 10 people sitting in the laundry room smoking. After much confrontation, they have ceased smoking, however, the residue of the nicotine stuck on all my possessions in the storage area of my laundry room. I had tried vinegar, bleach, air purifier... anything I could think of to remove/reduce the smell. Our restoration company told us about the industrial ozone generators they use to eradicate smoke smell after a fire. After reviewing many models on-line, I finally broke down and purchased this generator. Got it yesterday and ran it for 1/2 hour (it is two 8x10 rooms) in the evening. It did exactly what it said it would do. The "oxygen" smell is akin to a downpour of rain during a hot summer day... pungent, yet clean. I went down this morning, and the whole laundry room and the rec room smell clean and fresh and no nasty tobacco smell. It was amazing, and a relief to have that nasty smell out of my home. Next, I will try it in my vehicles, and also the bathroom to help control any bacteria. I am very pleased with this item - well worth the money - highly recommend it.

This unit does exactly what it says it should. After use I think it could be improved by adding more time selections (only variable time to one hour or always on) and variable output....but for the price it seems like a good deal

I suppose if Russian military would set out to design an ionizer it would look like this - an unassuming looking black metal box with a couple of switches and virtually no labeling, very basic looking. Performance, however is truly mind-blowing - a 1000 sq. ft. area with 9 ft ceilings was completely clear of mold in two one hour treatments. Read and follow the enclosed instructions - this is not an ionizer you'd run continuously, it's way too powerful for that. I would recommend this product to anyone, it's not cheap but you get what you pay for.

The Sylvan ozone generator came in a timely manner and arrived in good working condition. It successfully eliminates odor.

The company I bought it from is good to deal with, but the product lacks a few important features. The way the purifier is designed is quite poor unless you want an ozone purifier that will run only up to 90 minutes a day. There are three settings and the highest setting is such that the ozone comes on for only 10 minutes every 90 minutes. That's only 90 minutes a full day. If that is how much ozone you want then you may be happy with it. My need for the ozone was much greater than that so it was a waste for me.

The 3rd season of In Living Color is just as great as all the other seasons. In some of these seasons, yes, some sketches and dance sequences have been either omitted and/or edited down, but that doesn't mean that this show is not worth watching anymore. It is still enjoyable to me, and I don't complain about whatever has been taken out or edited. To those people who have complained about the editing and omissions of certain sketches, STOP GRIPING!!!! Don't let the fact of the editing or omissions prevent you from enjoying all seasons on DVD. Complaining excessively is not going to get Fox to put back what was taken out or edited. Until the editing and omission issue has been resolved (whenever that may be), just deal with the episodes that we've got and have a few laughs with this show. Life is too short to be pining about what has been left out or narrowed down. For all seasons: My grade is a strong A. For your information, Comedy Central is showing In Living Color starting this fall. Just tape the episodes you want that contain whatever the DVDs don't have and burn them onto blank DVDs, if you like, but don't complain the editing and omissions subject to death. The show is here on DVD, ladies and gentlemen, so enjoy it in the meantime.

If you enjoyed the show, then there's not much to say here. It's exactly what you remembered and just the continuation of the shows on DVD. I have the five seasons now, and watch them often. This one in particular is just as funny as the others. A Must-Have.

Since this is not a complete set, I'm going to send it back to Fox. It's a sad, sad situation when skits that made the show famous are removed. There is at least one skit missing per episode and now I'm afraid they will be lost forever. One of my favorites of all time is gone - "Chrystal Waters".

My husband and I have purchased four out of the five seasons but we didn't know until later that many of our favorite skits are missing! The one that we miss the most is the parody of Michael Jackson's Black Or White, "Tell Me If I'm Black Or White". What a disappointment. We won't be purchasing the fifth season.

Does anyone know if the 3rd Season DVD's include the bit titled Sam and Samantha Kinison?

The End of August at the Hotel Ozone is almost too obscure to approach a cult film status. I'd consider the story to be "hard" post-apocalyptic - an emphasis on description rather than fantastic nuclear war plot devices. Amazing photography of real survivors gives The End of August at the Hotel Ozone the feel of a documentary. This is an interesting, natural film directed by Czechoslovakian Jan Schmidt. Runtime = 77 min

The End of August at the Hotel Ozone is Czech film from 1966 about a post-apocalyptic world. This film could be considered an anti-war film, as the picture it presents of a post-nuclear world is not pretty. It shows us a world that is nearly a throw back to the Stone Age. A band of women travel together and are searching for other people, particularly men, but it has been years since they saw anyone new. An older woman acts as their leader and occasionally tells them what the world was like before they were born. The young people raised in this world do not have the morals of those raised before the war. To call them reckless and savage would be an accurate description as they think mostly of themselves and cruelty is part of their normal behavior. I have to add that parts of the movie are disturbing, as there is actual animal cruelty in the film. I highly enjoyed the visual beauty and creativeness of The End of August at the Hotel Ozone. Learning about the world presented in the film coupled with seeing the effect the war had on people is an eerie combination. The story drew me in and I thought the suspense didn't let up. I think this is a great movie but may not be for those who are faint of heart. Even with that said, everything that is disturbing about the film just might be adding another element of realism.

First of all, this movie was beautifully filmed. The landscapes, settings and sequencing of scenes was amazing. That said, I found the rest of the movie fairly well-done, but certain parts were quite disturbing. Even though the characters felt flat I must acknowledge the acting challenges placed before them. I would be very interested to know if the animals shown in the movie were actually killed while filming. Some of the scenes lead me to believe this was the case. While immensely disturbing (i.e. maiming and killing a dog, twisting the head off of a snake, etc.) the message--the lack of civility (civility which comes from living in a society) and understanding of what we accept as social norms--is clear and it clearly sticks with you. It was reminiscent of Lord of the Flies in some ways except that the younger women never knew society at all. They were savage and primeval in their actions and attitudes and the only things keeping them in check is the older woman who remembers what society was like. Overall it was beautifully shot, impressive for its scope for the time of release and the country in which it was made. But this movie is not for the squeamish and it does move kind of slow. But if you are like me and like to watch as many futuristic-post-apocalyptic-the-world-is-a-wasteland-sci-fi movies as you can, then you should check this one out.

The film begins years after a modern nuclear war. An older woman leads a band of teenaged girls in a constant search for other living humans, especially men. All of their food comes from cans, as it is not safe to eat anything that grows. The girls, who all carry machine guns, have grown up without the social constraints of society. Of the post nuclear holocaust films I have seen, none come close to "End of August" in capturing the utter devastation of nuclear war--not so much the physical destruction, but a more interior destruction. Filmed in stark black and white, "End of August" shows the utter loneliness and despair of a society that has become unravelled. This is a hard film to watch, and its ending is devastating. I'm not sure the director intended this to be an anti-war film, but to me, there is no more graphic representation of the insanity of nuclear war.

I had been looking for Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide for sometime and am glad to have found it on Amazon. The quantity is small for my needs. If you can supply 35% Hydrogen Peroxide, it would be wonderful. I need large quantities of a gallon or more.
